Workplace safety is an important part of daily operations, especially for manufacturing companies where machinery, electrical equipment and production materials are concentrated in workshop areas. In the event of a fire, employees need to know how to respond quickly and safely. To strengthen fire safety awareness and improve employees’ emergency response and evacuation skills, Zhangjiagang Huashun Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. organized a company-wide fire safety drill on March 11.
The drill was planned according to the actual conditions of the company’s manufacturing facility. The main activities covered fire alarm response, emergency reporting, personnel evacuation and initial fire control. At the beginning of the exercise, a simulated fire emergency was introduced in the factory. Once the alarm was activated, the emergency response team quickly moved to the designated areas and carried out their assigned tasks according to the emergency plan.
After hearing the alarm, employees in the workshops and other working areas followed the designated evacuation routes. Under the guidance of the responsible personnel, everyone left the production areas in an orderly manner and moved to the designated assembly point. The evacuation process was well organized, with no crowding or confusion. Once employees reached the assembly area, the responsible staff checked attendance and confirmed that everyone had been safely evacuated.
The drill also included practical training on the use of firefighting equipment. The company’s safety manager explained common fire hazards found in manufacturing facilities, including electrical equipment, wiring, material storage and daily workshop operations. Employees were also introduced to the basic operation of dry powder fire extinguishers, fire hoses and fire hydrants.

During the extinguisher training, the safety manager demonstrated the correct operating procedure and explained what employees should pay attention to when dealing with a small fire. Employees then took turns practicing with the equipment. This hands-on training gave them a clearer understanding of how firefighting equipment should be used and highlighted the importance of regular safety inspections.
After the exercise, the company reviewed the entire process. Any issues identified during evacuation, on-site coordination or equipment operation were discussed and recorded. Relevant departments were also asked to improve the areas that needed further attention and continue regular inspections of workshops, warehouses and office areas.
Zhangjiagang Huashun Machinery has always considered production safety and employee safety an important part of its daily management. Regular fire drills and safety training help employees become more familiar with emergency procedures and better understand how to respond when unexpected situations occur.

Going forward, Zhangjiagang Huashun Machinery will continue to organize safety training and fire drills based on actual production needs. The company will also strengthen routine safety inspections and improve its safety management practices, creating a safer and more stable working environment for employees and supporting the long-term development of the company.
