Common failures and solutions of the bending arm in hydraulic pipe benders

Bend arm no action or action is not in place

Fault cause:

Solenoid valve stuck valve or damaged, resulting in the oil circuit is not available.

Hydraulic system pressure is insufficient, may be improperly adjusted relief valve or internal leakage.

Cylinder internal seals are damaged, resulting in internal leakage.

There are impurities in the hydraulic oil, blocking the oil circuit.

Solution:

Check the solenoid valve, disassemble and clean or replace the solenoid valve.

Check the relief valve, adjust the pressure or overhaul the relief valve.

Check the cylinder seals, repair or replace the damaged seals.

Clean the hydraulic system, replace the hydraulic oil, ensure that the oil is clean.

Slow movement of the bending arm

Cause of malfunction:

Insufficient hydraulic fluid, the oil level of the tank is too low.

The hydraulic pump is worn or damaged, resulting in insufficient output flow.

There is air mixed in the oil circuit, affecting the transmission efficiency of hydraulic oil.

Solution:

Check the oil level of the oil tank, timely replenishment of hydraulic oil.

Check the hydraulic pump, repair or replace the worn hydraulic pump.

Remove air from the hydraulic system, either through the exhaust device or manual exhaust.

Abnormal noise in the bending arm

Cause of malfunction:

Air enters the hydraulic system.

The inside of the cylinder is pulled hair or damaged.

The connecting parts of the bending arm are loose.

Solution:

Check the hydraulic system and remove the air.

Check the cylinder and repair or replace the damaged cylinder.

Check and tighten the connecting parts of the bender arm.

Difficulty in returning the bend arm

Cause of malfunction:

The safety limit device is not properly reset.

The hydraulic system return line is not smooth, may be the return valve is clogged or damaged.

Solution:

Check the safety limit device to ensure its normal reset.

Check the return line, clean or replace the return valve.

Inaccurate bending angle of the bending arm

Cause of failure:

Worn molds or incorrect installation.

The travel switch or sensor of the bending arm is faulty.

Solution:

Check and replace worn molds and make sure the molds are installed correctly.

Check the travel switch or sensor and repair or replace the defective part.
