In industrial manufacturing, bending large-diameter tubes, thick-walled pipes, or high-rigidity materials is a challenging task. It requires not only high thrust force and bending torque but also a precise control system to manage material deformation. What Does “Large Diameter” Bending Mean?
As tube diameter increases, process complexity also rises. The machine must have a stronger support structure and a welldesigned tube handling system. The Huashun SB-115NC single head hydraulic tube bender can handle carbon steel tubes up to Φ115×8mm, covering a wide range of diameters. Even for high rigidity materials like stainless steel, it achieves precise cold bending of Φ100×2mm, meeting diverse needs from general structural parts to high strength load bearing components.

Choice: One Direction or Two Direction Bending?
For many components — such as frames in agricultural machinery, industrial vehicles, and hydraulic lines — bending in one direction (usually right hand) is often sufficient. The Huashun SB-115NC supports standard clockwise bending and features programmable spring back compensation. The operator simply enters the expected spring back angle based on material and wall thickness; the machine automatically compensates, ensuring every bend is accurate without repeated trial and error.
For more complex parts like torsion bars that require both high strength and complicated shapes, a left and right bending machine can complete the entire component in one setup, avoiding strength loss from welding. To guarantee accuracy, Huashun benders use a 3 axis servo motor drive system (bending, feeding, and rotation). This ensures high speed (feed speed up to 800 mm/s, rotation speed up to 160 °/s) and excellent repeatability, with bending accuracy within ±0.1° and feed accuracy as tight as ±0.05 mm.

High Bending Torque with a Compact Head – As required torque increases, structural rigidity becomes essential. The SB-115NC uses a thickened bending head and a high strength cast frame, with reinforced key stress points to prevent deformation under high loads, ensuring long term accuracy.
Strong Thrust & Feeding System – For variable radius bending or large diameter tubes, carriage thrust is critical. This series is equipped with high power servo motors and precision ball screws, offering a maximum feed stroke of 4200 mm, capable of processing extra long tubes and greatly expanding the range of workpiece lengths.
Independent Programming & Production Flexibility – To handle small batches and variety, the machine offers great flexibility. The industrial computer can store up to 20 part programs, each with up to 16 bending angles. Data can be entered using coordinates (X, Y, Z) or working values (Y, B, C) for easy programming and efficient automated production.

Software & Usability in the CNC Era

With its industrial PC and high speed logic control software, the machine accurately calculates material elongation and spring back, automatically adjusting the program parameters.
