Heavy-Duty Pipe Bending Machines
Heavy-duty pipe bending machines are widely used in shipbuilding, construction, energy, and automotive industries.
Main Types
Hydraulic Pipe Bending Machines: Designed for bending large-diameter, thick-walled pipes. They feature high output torque and excellent reliability.
CNC Pipe Bending Machines: Controlled by computer systems to achieve high-precision bending and complex shapes. Best suited for multi-variety, small-batch production.
Key Selection Factors
Pipe Diameter and Wall Thickness: Choose the right machine model based on the outer diameter and wall thickness of the workpiece.
Bending Radius: Consider both the minimum and maximum bending radius requirements.
Material Type: Different materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel) may require specific machine configurations.
Production Volume: For high-volume production, CNC machines with higher automation are recommended.
Application Fields
Shipbuilding: For bending ship piping systems.
Construction: For structural steel and piping systems.
Energy: For pipelines in oil, natural gas, and related industries.
Development Trends
Intelligent Manufacturing: Integration of digital twin technology and MES systems for smart production.
High Precision: Enhanced bending accuracy and consistency.
Automation: Automated loading/unloading, tool change, and other advanced features.
Typical Application Scenarios
Power System Piping: Examples include main engine cooling water pipes (φ114×12 mm) and fuel injection pipes, which must withstand high pressure (≥1.6 MPa). Requirements include wall thinning after bending ≤10% and ovality ≤5%.
Auxiliary Piping in Cabins: Such as refrigerant pipes and compressed air pipes under DN100. CNC machines are often used to achieve continuous multiple bends (up to 50 bends per pipe), with a bending radius ≤1.5D to save space.
Special Materials Processing: For corrosion-resistant shipbuilding materials such as duplex stainless steel and copper-nickel alloys. Special tooling and control systems (e.g., Rexroth proportional valve for bending/boosting force) are required to avoid material embrittlement in sensitization temperature ranges.
