Troubleshooting common issues with Pipe Bending Machines
Mechanical system failure:
1. Bending angle is not accurate
Cause: mold wear, inaccurate positioning or loose clamping device.
Solution: Check and adjust the position of the mold to ensure that the clamping device is firm, if necessary, replace the worn mold.
2. Pipe sliding in the clamping device
Cause: Insufficient clamping force.
Solution: Increase the clamping force to ensure that the pipe is firmly clamped.
3. Pipe surface scratches
Cause: Foreign matter on the surface of the mold, burrs on the surface of the pipe or excessive clamping force.
Solution: Clean the surface of the mold, remove burrs on the surface of the pipe, and reduce the clamping force appropriately.
Hydraulic system failure:
1. Hydraulic oil leakage
Cause: seals are damaged or aging.
Solution: check the hydraulic system seals, repair or replace the leaking parts.
2. Hydraulic cylinder jamming or unstable operation
Cause: there are impurities in the hydraulic oil, oil temperature is too high or hydraulic cylinder internal wear.
Solution: clean the hydraulic oil, replace the hydraulic oil filter, check the internal hydraulic cylinder and repair or replace worn parts.
3. Insufficient system pressure
Cause: insufficient oil supply pump, relief valve failure or throttle hole clogging.
Solution: Check the operation of the oil pump, clean or replace the relief valve, clean the throttle hole.
Electrical system failure:
1.CNC system dead or jammed
Cause: Software problem or hardware failure.
Solution: Restart the system, check whether the software version needs to be updated, and contact professional technicians for hardware check if necessary.
2. Electrical switch failure
Cause: Switch aging or poor contact.
Solution: Check and replace the malfunctioning electrical switch.
Bend quality problems
1. Bend at the crease
Cause: wrinkle mold location is not appropriate, the mandrel support is not enough or the mold gap is too large.
Solution: adjust the position of the anti-wrinkle mold, increase the number of mandrels or adjust the mandrel position, reduce the mold gap and increase pressure.
2. Bend at the wall thickness thinning
Cause: insufficient thrust, mold pressure or uneven wall thickness of the pipe.
Solution: increase the boost and boost speed, adjust the mold pressure to ensure uniform wall thickness of the pipe.
3. Bend pipe rebound
Cause: elastic recovery of the pipe material.
Solution: use the compensation method or correction method, adjust the mold design or increase the correction device.
Other problems
1. Straight sections appear after bending the pipe
Cause: Insufficient mandrel support.
Solution: Re-process the mandrel connection part and reduce the mandrel spacing.
2. Abnormal noise and vibration of hydraulic system
Cause: Leakage of suction pipe, oil viscosity is too high or too low.
Solution: Check the sealing of the suction pipe and replace the hydraulic oil with suitable viscosity.
